First I want to encourage You to watch the video which is not just another step by step "how to" instruction but it is also abstractional, surrealistic stop motion short movie. Enjoy it.
OK, So, You don't need much to do the lamp for Your kids bedroom:
- a 220 wire
- glue gun or just glue
- light bulb holder
- wood for stand
- pipe (or wood to make the pipe)
- spray paint (good is goldcolour)
So let's start.
Take the wood for bottom of the lamp and make w hole in it. In this hole will be later the wire putted.
Glue the pipe to the bottom.
You can take any pipe You want. It could be ordinary PVC pipe. I'm using the wood branch which I've drilled to get a 'pipe'. This is the hardest way.
Now tak the lightbulb holder and glue it to the top of the pipe. Then put the wires through the pipe and the hole in the bottom.
At the end attach the wires to the lightbulb
Now the funny part. Use Your imagination and glue old, broken toys to Your lamp (to the bottom and to the pipe).
When You end gluing You are ready to last step - painting.
Use the spray paint in any color You like. The best are gold and black ones.
That's all:)
I ensure You such lamp looks really great. My son said even that it looks 'awesome' ;-) He is happy that his old toys are now with him once again.
