Bless This Home~ Paper Bag Challenge

You are never going to believe what I used in this frame-a paper bag. Just like the ones you get from the grocery store. I came across a craft challenge last week and thought it would be fun to participate. That is until I read what this month’s challenge is: paper bag. Um what, a paper bag! I use paper bags to hold recycling, donations, and trash. Creating a craft project had me stumped.
I had decided I would just wait until next month. Then I saw a thrift store frame that I painted for another project that never came to fruition and my idea was born. This is how the frame started before I transformed it with sand paper and a can of paint.
The next step in the project was to cut a portion out of this paper bag that would fit into our printer. I grabbed a piece of plain white printer paper to use as a guide. The paper you cut from your bag does not need to be perfect, because you will need to cut it down to fit in the frame after printing. Just make sure it fits nicely into your printer.
The paper bag printed great! Bless This Home printable can be found at The Resourceful Mama. The printable fits into a 5×7 frame.
The next step was to add it to the painted frame. I glued a flower that I had leftover from another project onto the outside of the frame to complete the project.
I love how this turned! This will not be the last time I print on a paper bag!
