Like my real plant?? Succa!! If you're a plant lover like me, there's no such thing as too many planters, terrariums, etc. I'm always on the hunt for more and it's a huge bonus if I can find ones that require no maintenance!

This is a terrarium I put together that checked all my boxes and I hope you like it too!

To start you will need a round glass bowl, which I picked up at Dollar Tree, and a thicker piece of crafting felt. Cut about 1" from the end the entire long length of the piece.

Once your strip is cut, grab your roll of jute. Apply a dot of hot glue to keep it in place and wrap it around the entire length of the strip.

When complete, it will look like this and should pretty flexible, but not too flimsy. Set it aside and trust the process; we will come back to this!

Next, flip your bowl upside down and hot glue down long pieces of the jute. You will want them evenly spaced. I glued down 6 pieces.

Grab 2 pieces of jute, glue them together and then glue the point where they meet onto the glass. Do this around your glass with the other pieces.

Repeat the same gluing process but this time joining together opposite strands creating a criss-cross pattern.

Glue down each end to the top of the bowl and cut off the excess.

Next, you will need that felt strip you created earlier. Use your hot glue to carefully attach to the top rim of the bowl. Once it has been glued all the way around, glue the two ends together as well.

Lastly, you will just need to add some vase filler and faux succulents! I have had great luck finding pretty and inexpensive ones at Dollar Tree.

Sit back and enjoy your new terrarium knowing from this point on, it will require zero upkeep!

I love the look of the rocks in the glass planter. I wonder if I added some well draining soil on top, could plant real succulents in there?
