Book Wall Tutorial

As soon as I saw the book wall idea start popping up on Pinterest, I knew I had to have one! I set out to find the perfect spot in my house and settled on a small wall in my daughter’s room. I have a window that displays a penmanship poster; the perfect spot to display some books and create this amazing book wall!

The materials you will need for this are:
Staple Gun
Tape (Any Kind)
Old Books
Pages Ripped from Books
Step 1: Staple your books to the wall.
You might want to start by getting a feel for your book wall layout by arranging your books and pages on the floor. Since I was doing this in such a small area, I just went for it and started nailing books to the wall.
I first started by putting two staples in each the front cover and back cover of the book to hold it up to the wall. You will fix the pages how you want them after everything is stapled to the wall.
Step 2: Staple book pages down.
The step to getting your book wall to perfection is stapling your book pages down so they lay flat against the books. Take sections of pages from each side and staple, leaving two pages in the center of the book. These are the pages you will then use tape underneath to cover each side of the book with the staples showing, leaving a flawless finish as if the books are floating on the wall.
Step 3: Tape book pages to wall
Once you have your books stapled where you want them, you can start adding your book pages here and there. Because you won’t have a way to cover the staples on your book pages, I opted to use tape underneath to adhere the pages to the wall.
After that, you're all done! Wasn't that easy? And did I mention budget friendly! Since I only used 4 books for this entire area, I spent a whopping $2!
