With online deliveries we get tons of these brown paper packaging and I didnt feel right tossing out perfectly good paper. I wanted to find a way to upcycle the paper in a creative way (besides wrapping gifts in it).

So I used some of the paper to make this beautiful pot for my plant!

For this project you'll need several sheets of brown paper packaging. I recommend you pick on f the longest pieces or if your paper is small then get a larger amount.

Grab a regular pair of scissors and cut the paper into three strips about the same length.

Twist each strip. If the paper unravels a little bit when soon you put it down don't worry, that is normal, it still works.

Your three strips should look something like this.

Now tie them together at the top and make a knot.

With all three strips start braiding.

Do this all the way until the end.

Get any sort of empty container (make sure it is large enough for your plant) and clean out the inside. I used a large tin can. Now hot glue the braided paper all around the container as neatly and snug as possible. If there is any extra pieces hanging off feel free to cut and trash them or hot glue them to the bottom.

And voila you have a lovely organic style planter!
