I love updating plain mugs and if you have been following me for a while you know I love a good little Mug Makeover project. And if you are new here be sure to check out my Floral Mug , Hand painted Mug and Terrazzo Mug for more inspiration.
Be sure to read all the way till the end since I made a little video showcasing the many different way you can update your mugs.

So I started off with these mugs.I wanted to make these really colorful at first but then I decided to go with only three colors.I poured some of the paint on a paper plate and then used a foam brush to create the brushstroke design on it.Dip the brush into the paint start creating your pattern.I created vertical strokes all around the Mug.
When the mugs were almost dry I created a few dots in between the design using Glass Paint Markers. You could also use a sharpie. You can go in and layer on the colors if you don’t like the paint to be so sheer. And finally let the mugs completely dry before using them.

And there you have it.What do you guys think?

I think they look so adorable and fun. I use it to place my stationery in these mugs.
