    I made one of these...one thing to add is: something underneath to act as a brace to keep the tray from sliding off the tub.

    I made one a couple of years ago. The paint molded. Someone on here did one with shellac. It sounds like a good idea due to the moisture. I love mine! The braces underneath fit my tub. The ones for sale on line are $40 plus and are not wide enough for my tub.

    I really like your idea to add "Relax" it really adds a great touch!
