Combining burlap canvases and wood laser cut doilies for a wreath...plus a monogram...yes please. Here is a fun project, inspired by Pinterest, that you can totally personalize for your home.
Please see blog post for very detailed list of supplies and tutorial!
This project is part of the Hometalk and Michaels Pinterest Party.
The completed project is so versatile and really makes a decor statement. I have a lot more detail and pricing information on the blog post.
4 x 4 burlap canvas, laser cut wood doilies and details, glue, distress ink and paint as the base for this amazing wreath.
Use some basic guideline to make sure you get the wreath straight and square to begin with.
Before you start gluing...do a "dry run" and place all of your detail. Then snap a photo or draw a detailed sketch so you remember where it goes!
Decoupage was the perfect medium for heading the paper to the canvas.
I used Weldbond glue to adhere my individual canvases to the wood craft ring. I also used this glue to hold all of the smaller details in place - it dries clear.
Distress ink all around the edges of each canvas is a great detail that really makes each canvas "pop!"
The Distress Paint is my new favorite love - a sponge applicator makes it so easy to paint whatever you need!
This is a fun project that you can customize with different colors and details and trim.
Using colored wood doilies (that are so cool and so inexpensive) adds detail and dimension
Using ink to color the wood was so simple. It dries quickly and gives a great slightly worn look.
