Spring is just around the corner and so I’m getting ready to start planning and planting my garden and terracotta pots
What you’ll need
1) Bird stencil
2) Acrylic paints whatever colours you like
3) chalkboard paint
4) Sponge brush
5) Terracotta pots
6) Mod Podge
7) chalk
8) White Spray paint
9) Spouncer brush
How to make
1Pre-treat each pot with a light coat of white spray paint.Allow to dry completely.
2) Paint the pots with acrylic paint. Allow each coat to dryI used three coats of acrylic paint.I was happy with the coverage.
3) Then Apply Mod Podge sealant Allow to dry
4)Wrap the stencil around the pot nice and flat.
5)Tape the stencil so it doesn’t move.
6)Useing the spouncer dab a thin layer of the chalkboard paint over the stencil. Wait until the paint has dried completely before applying the second coat. Carefully remove stencil.
7) Repeat steps with additional pots.
8) Once Paint has dried condition the chalkboard paint by rubbing chalk over the design. Then clean off the chalk. Now you won’t forget what seeds you planted because you’ll have your chalkboard label to remind you.
