With Christmas coming up, I like to have something to do when the family are around, saves us twiddling our fingers. As a youngster, I liked playing games involving marbles, so that is what I decided to make.
It took me weeks to find somewhere that sold marbles, I went to every shop I could think of, and found them by accident the other day in a cheapie shop, however only one colour, but that was nothing a few cans of spray paint couldn't sort out.

I made it from a laminated Oak board, with mahogany trim, the oak was the only thing I had to buy for this project, there is enough in the board for my next game!

I downloaded a template
Having taped it to the board I punched the centre of each circle to mark the wood, and then using a plunge router and bull nose cutting bit, I cut the scoops for the marbles freehand.
I cut the trim to provide a lip on the board to retain any loose marbles, mitred the trim and just glued it in place.

There was then a lot of sanding, before spray painting the marbles
finally the project was complete
I now just need to learn how to play this game! :D
