A blanket with bling that needed a little neutralizing - and how I did it.
I got this lovely chunky hand knit lookalike blanket in a sale...and it was perfect.
Apart from the bling rose gold stripe on the end.
My living room has gold accessories and it just did not look right...so this is how I 'unblinged' the blanket.
I simply machine stitched a strip of cream cotton crochet lace over the bling.
A little shine still pops through the lace, but the 'woohoo' rose gold factor has gone. And easy fix!
