This is a baby congratulations box bed. Wrapped in a changing mat then made into a bed. All the products are sugarpaste which are stuck onto the materials with sugarpaste. All products were handmade by me. Then there are pairs of "born 2017 socks" wrapped with ribbons at the sides. The pillow is made from packing a couple of face clothes under the fabric. The name is sticky letters.. Inside the box is packed with baby products. The mum and dad were really impressed. Cx
A box..... fill the box with small items. I put baby products in mine and a few items for mum too. Wrap in a blanket or baby changing mat or towel just like you would wrap a present. (Use whatever you like really to cover your box). Stuff facecloths under the wrapping to make a pillow.
Tie a ribbon around the sides to keep everything secure. I also used sugarpaste to secure things as well. Around the sides of the bed I also added baby socks "born in 2007".
In the centre of the bed I put a fluffy facecloth and laid a baby, milk bottles, bibs etc. I made these out of sugarpaste and attached them with sugarpaste too. I used silicone moulds to make these. You can put anything you like on the bed. I added some baby confetti and attached with sugarpaste. I used sugarpaste so that it can be washed out the the wrappings are good as new.
When you are finished wrap in clear plastic cellophane and tie a matching ribbon around the top.
Enjoyed the project?
