Creative Ideas For Decorating With Baskets
Most of us have old baskets tucked away in our closets, attics or storage rooms. I love decorating with baskets and incorporate them in my Country style home whenever I can. They are great for storage but can also become great backdrops for interesting vignettes and displays.
I especially love old picnic baskets. They are usually large and can hold a lot of goodies but if you open them up you can create a pretty display with them. This picnic basket was filled with an old cookbook, a vintage thermos, and some pretty dishes creating a pretty display perfect for a kitchen.
With a little creativity you can re-purpose old baskets and create new decor for your home. This thrift store basket was flipped upside down. A plastic charger plate was glued to the "top" and painted a festive lime green making a pretty pedestal that would look great on any tablescape.
