Another gift idea for the upcoming holidays are these customized floral mugs.
These hand painted floral mugs turned out even better than I expected.
The project was so simple you just need two things!

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THIS PROJECT
So starting off I had these white mugs lying about which I didn’t really use since they were too plain and boring.
So I though why not give them a makeover using Glass Paint Markers.
The colors I chose for this project were Blue, Turquoise and Violet.

The idea was to have a floral feel to it but  I did not want to make those detailed intricate flowers.
Moving on to these mugs.
The idea was to have a floral feel to it but  I did not want to make those detailed intricate flowers.
Just something simple and straightforward.
So I went with this design.
I alternated between the colors.
If the petals were blue then the middle color I chose was Violet and vice versa.
On one mug I went with the Blue and Violet combination and the other I chose Turquoise and Violet.
It didn’t take long and I was done with this project in about 15-20 mins.
But you do have to wait for it to air cure for about 8 hours before using the mugs.
And if you want a dishwasher safe finish you can go ahead and bake it in the oven at about 325F for about 30 minutes.
Since I made these mugs for decorative purposes and I barely ever used them before hence I didn’t bake it in the oven.
But the results of the glass paint markers on its own are just as good and durable.
And there you have it.
All Done.
What do you guys think?
Will you try this out for the upcoming holiday season and create something personal for your friends, family or that special someone?

If you bake it in the oven, would it be dishwasher safe? What temperature and how long?
