Cute Crochet Frog Bookmark

I have to admit, along with my favorite hobby ...that's "Crochet", am also a big time Book lover. You can say am a complete Bookworm!!! ....and so I do have a fair collection of bookmarks.

Today am sharing the pattern for this Cute Crochet Frog Bookmark. If you too enjoy reading, then you will definitely love this cute bookmark. Crochet Bookmarks are perfect for a quick and easy project. You can whip up some in no time at all.

These would make perfect gifts for a book lover. With Mother's day right around the corner, you can make some of these for your Mom too. She will surely love it.


Materials Used:-8 Ply Yarn ( Green, Red and Black)4mm Crochet Hook Wooden Button or any Charm Yarn Needle


Notes:-For the whole pattern, the starting Chain 1 is not counted as a stitch. It is just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Round 1:-Start with a Magic Circle and Chain 1.6 Single Crochets in the loop.Pull the yarn to close the gapSlip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.6 Stitches.



Round 2:-Chain 12 Single Crochet in each stitch around.Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.12 Stitches.


Round 3:-Chain 1. 1 Single Crochet.2 Single Crochets in the next stitch.Repeat*(1SC,2SC)Slip Stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.18 Stitches.


Round 4:-Chain 1.1 Single Crochet each in 2 stitches.2 Single Crochet in the next stitch.Repeat*(1SC,1SC,2SC)Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.24 Stitches.

Round 5:-1 Double Crochet Cluster stitch.Make the next Double Crochet Cluster on top of the same stitch.Repeat the Cluster stitch untill its around 7 to 8 inches and weave off.

How to Make a Double Crochet Cluster stitch....???:-

  1. Chain 2.
  2. Start Off with a Double Crochet, But Do Not Finish the stitch,
  3. Yarn over, insert the hook into the same stitch.
  4. Repeat (Yarn Over, insert the hook into the next stitch) untill you have total 3 loops on the Hook.
  5. Yarn Over and pull through all the loops
  6. Chain 1





Round 6:-Count 8 stitches from the starting of the Cluster stitch and join the yarn.Count 8 stitches on the opposite too and mark it with a stitch marker.4 Double Crochets in the same stitch.Slip Stitch in the same stitch.1 Single Crochet each in the next stitches untill the marked stitch.4 Doubles Crochets and a Slip Stitch in the same stitch.Weave off.




Eyes and Mouth:-Using a Yarn needle and Black Yarn, sew the eyes.Use a Red yarn for the mouth.Add a Button or any Charm at the bottom.Weave off the yarn ends.
