Decorative Tiles

I like to change up my fire place mantle and these reversible wood tiles are perfect for my space.

Stencils are such a great way to change things up. I have a small collection of them that I use in so many projects. Michaels, Amazon, Cutting Edge Designs, and Wal-Mart are my favorite places to get stencils.

I always save scrap wood for just this kind of project. I measured my space on my mantle and cut my pieces 7 × 7.

I painted both sides in a matte white.

I stenciled one side in red so I can decorate my mantle in a patriotic theme. But it can also be used for Christmas and Valentine's day.

I cut out five pieces. Depending on your space you could have as many or as few as you needed. The stenciling goes quick.

I used two different stencils. You could even stencil letters to spell out words. The possibilities are endless.

I'm displaying the green side right now for a fresh summer look. I hope you all enjoy this easy project as much as I did!!
