Displaying Santa Photos

As most families with little kids do, we’ve had our kids’ picture taken with Santa every year since they were babies. And every year I struggle with how to display the photos. I’ve contemplated putting them in frames, but I really don’t want to spend extra money on a bunch of frames. I’ve stuck them to the fridge in the past, but it just looks sloppy. And some years I’ve just set them in a pile on the coffee table.
This year I decided to get creative and finally come up with a way to display all of the Santa photos together. The result turned out better than I imagined and we now have a cute way to display all of our Santa photos together in one spot!
This year I decided to get creative and finally come up with a way to display all of the Santa photos together. The result turned out better than I imagined and we now have a cute way to display all of our Santa photos together in one spot!
The display board was super easy to make. Here’s the supplies I used:
When buying my supplies, I had the folks at Lowe’s cut my boards to size for me so that I didn’t have to haul out our miter saw at home. I had them cut two 32″ boards and two 36″ boards.
After wrestling with the chicken wire and trying to unroll it, I finally managed to flatten out a piece the size I needed. I highly recommend wearing protective gloves for this! Then I started stapling and trimming the wire as I worked my way around the back of the frame.
The last step was to screw the D ring picture hangers to the back.
I hung ours in our kitchen/eating nook so that we can enjoy the pictures while we are sitting at our kitchen table. I’m thinking it’s going to stay up year round because it’s so darn cute. I’ll probably find some other pictures or things to hang up instead of the Santa photos though.
