DIY Christmas Gifts - Turn Vintage Books Into Custom Journals

Are you stumped on gift ideas for friends and family? Why not try making this cute and easy DIY custom journal / scrapbook from a vintage book!
Start by cutting acid-free paper down to a size that will fit the pages of the book. I used a paper cutter and acid-free glue.
I kept my journals a mix of the original pages and new ones I glued in.
I layered in different papers and elements such as paint chips, photos and paint.
This project is super easy and fun! Check out even more finishes and ways to create it on my blog here: http://www.runtoradiance.com/2014/02/04/upcycling-old-books-into-custom-journals/

Very similar to creating an art journal, or what is known as a junque journal, a

scrapbook of sorts. A great gift you can personalize for an artsy friend.
