DIY Instagram Photo Coasters

I, like most people, love a good Instagram photo. I’m definitely on the bandwagon! Since Instagram photos are square I thought they would work great for coasters. I used photos of my baby boy, but almost anything would be cool – landscapes, city skyline photos, a special day, or pretty much any Instagram photos you cherish.
These photo coasters are not only cute, but they were really easy and inexpensive to make. The tiles are about $1 each at Home Depot and I printed the photos out at home on white card stock.
These would make a great gift and are so easy that it would be a great project for the kiddos too!
I also made a set using a print of an antique map of Spain from the 1780s that I loved. What do you think? Which ones do you like better? What images would you try for coasters?

Beautiful job! I have practiced this with regular kitchen tiles and did well, but I’m having difficulty with the stone tiles. My pictures immediately looked so cloudy and dull right after applying mod podge ... is it because the texture of the stone tile is so different? Does it take much longer to dry, should I coat the tiles first, and do I use “gloss” rather than the “matte”...I need help😅

What kind of paper I should use to print the pictures. Will the coaster be heat safe? Thank you.🙏

Please give good details of how to do this. Such as, first you do......wait for.....hours or until dry, then apply..... What about the back? Do you glue cork?

Wow!! Cool, I love the baby and or family coasters the best. Only because I'm a grandma and I have lots of grand and great grandchildren pictures. Thanks.
