As a mom to three boys, we have a lot of toy cars. All three of my boys love cars, and they love the Cars movies. So I created this DIY Cozy Cone Motel for their toy cars and they absolutly love it! It is so easy.
You can see the full tutorial on my blog: http://www.loveourcrazylife.com/diy-cars-cozy-cone/
This project is so simple, and kids will love it!
You will need a large traffic cone and then 4 smaller traffic cones (or 8 if they have slits in them so you can double up for a solid cone). Some craft tubes (toilet paper tubes may work, but craft tubes are usually sturdier).
Cut openings in the 4 small (or 8 if the are doubled up) cones. We use these ones for larger cars.
Also cut a large opening in the large cone, but do not cut off the bottom of the cone base for this one.
Glue together and spray paint your craft tubes with a traffic cone orange color paint.

Put the craft tubes inside the big traffic cone and make awnings for each cone. To see my tips on how to do this, and for information on making the Cozy Cone sign, check out my blog http://www.loveourcrazylife.com/diy-cars-cozy-cone/

The large cone is used for die cast and Hot Wheel style cars. It is a great way to store the cars too as they can actually be fit two deep in each tube.
Now your kids can enjoy their own Cozy Cone Motel!
