Do you have an ugly hose bib for your washing machine spoiling the looks of your indoor laundry room? I have an easy solution you can do in a couple of hours or less. This will transform this space so it is much more attractive.
Not very attractive, but necessary.
At a craft store like Michael's, I found a piece of picket fence just the correct width. I added a ½ in by 2 in piece of wood to each side and attached with glue. Then I painted it with white paint all over.
At the craft store I also bought some tiny birdhouse replicas and painted each one in bright colors. You can paint them a solid color or with patterns like I did. After the birdhouses were dry, I used a glue gun to glue them all over the picket fence.
Cute aren’t they?
Then on the back I attached one half of a magnetic piece for a cabinet door. It is the dark piece you see here.
I measured the same position of the magnet on the hose bib frame work and attached the other half of the cabinet catch.
Now all I have to do is place the picket fence piece magnet on the hose bib magnet and voila!
No more awful looking hose bib. I just detach the magnets when I need to get to the hoses. Very easy!
