If you re on the hunt for a super fun and glam craft project - I GOT YOU! I call this one Boujee on a Budget. It will not look budget but it will absolutely look and feel boujee.

Visit a local thrift store to secure a pretty ornate picture frame. A larger frame will be better but there are no rules here, let your imagination run wild with possibilities. You can do a cluster of small frames as well, the final look would look super fancy and fun. If you already own an ornate frame at home and want to re-use it for this project, now is your chance.

You'll also need a variety of your favorite faux flowers from a local Dollar Store. I had a bunch of faux flowers from previous crafts projects, but did buy a few additional bunches of pink carnations and white roses for this project.

I tried to keep my faux flower scheme to be in the pink color family. Pink carnations roses, etc. Don't forget to buy a foam core board while at your local Dollar Store.

1.) First things first, clean off your frame. Any dust or other dirt should be cleaned off. Lay your frame facing down - unscrew the back of the frame and remove the backing, matting and glass.

2.) Layout your foam core board on your table surface. Place the glass from the frame onto the foam core board. Now you will trace the glass outline onto the board.

3.) Take the matt from the frame and line it up with your recently outlined foam core board. Trace the matt outline on the foam core.

4.) Cut the outline of the foam core board with scissors or an exacto knife

5.) Once you have your foam core board cut out, you can get excited for the next steps - the fun part!

6.) Take a screw driver and gently poke holes into the foam core. These holes will act as a guide as to where your faux flower will be inserted.

7.) Now the fun part begins - assembling your faux flowers onto the foam core. Before you start assembling the flowers on the board, make sur you have had a chance to pull the heads of the flowers off the stem. Set aside a pile of flowers so you can easily grab flowers as you work. Make sure you have a sufficient amount of flowers to fill up the space on the foam core.

8.) With your hot glue gun, dab a small amount of hot glue onto the tip of the flower. Quickly insert the flower into the hole on the foam core. Repeat this process until the foam core board is filed with flowers to your liking.

9.) Clean off any hot glue string that may have gotten tangled up in your project

10.) Assemble the foam core board with flower creation into the frame. Hang up your fun boujee piece of art for all to enjoy.

DIY Framed Faux Flower Video Instructions

I found this gold frame at a local thrift store called Arc Thrift Stores. It was rather inexpensive, about $6.99 so I would recommend checking a local thrift store first. If you are having a hard time finding a round, gold ornate frame Amazon also has one available.

These are all the materials and tools you will need to use for this project.

Unscrew the back of the frame to remove the matt and glass.

Remove the matt board from the frame. A similar gold ornate frame can be found on Amazon

Remove the glass from the frame backing.

Place the glass on top of the foam core board. Trace the outer oval of the glass onto the foam core board. I found this foam core board at Dollar Tree. However, you can buy this kind of poster board at a variety of different stores, including Walmart.

After you trace the mirror shape onto the foam core board, you are now ready to cut along that line. Take your time cutting the foam board as it is a thicker material.

Once you have cut out the foam board shape, now trace the inside of the matt onto the foam board.

The area inside of the traced line will be were you start to assemble your fake flowers.

Play around with how you'd like to position your faux flowers. Anything goes! I found these flowers at the Dollar Tree and also had a bunch laying around at home from previous craft projects. If convenience is your thing, you can always order fake flowers online on Amazon too.

Next up, take a screw driver and gently press the tip of the screw driver into the foam core board. Start to create some holes in the board. This is where you will start assembling your flowers.

You can play around with inserting your flower into the hole. If you don't want to use the screw driver to make holes in the foam core, you can press firmly with the flower tip and a hole can be made that way as well.

Time to start hot gluing the flowers, yay! I've been crafting for a while so I secured this hot glue gun at a dollar store way back when. If you are new to the crafting world, I strongly encourage a hot glue gun investment.

Place the flower with the hot glue on the tip into the hole - press firmly to secure it in place.

Keep repeating the process and fill up any open spaces!

Wow, doesn't that look fabulous? Boujee on a budget.

Just loving how it looks! Happy crafting and creating.
