Get your old book and remove the covering and line out where you want the box to start to cut into it for a safe I have go and done 2.5cm around
Then get your cutter and your ruler and start cutting it page by page berry carefully with alot of patient's
This is what you should have
Next step get your pva glue and apply some glue on the side of the book and use a paint brush to cover all 3 sides of the book
I then covered the front with cut out cd shapes but didn't like it so I changed it but just to show you example
Then I went and covered it with small square mirror and put some decor around it please check out the link on how to make this and enjoy

I love hide-e-holes but one thing to remember...our memory fails or the unexpected can happen. What I mean to say is have a master list where your hidden objects are and keep it with your will or something. If something were to happen to you and you have a habit of hiding $$ in an old suit pocket, you don't want your kids to throw it out or donate it when your gone. Besides if it is behind Aunt Bertha's picture, who would know which picture that is except family.

I think I might do this! love books, have plenty of them and love this idea! But I will not bling it up. I have to agree it draws attention to it! Probably would defeat the whole purpose. Guess I'll have to find amother way to remember WHICH BOOK I did this with, right!? 😂😂
