A step by step guide to transform a paper roll into a multipurpose table pot. Let's see how to create this one. I have decorated it in this way, but you can make this in a different way according to your taste and creativity.
Lets start!
Step 1: Cut a rectangular piece of white cartridge paper measuring the width equal to width of the paper roll and length equal to circumference of the paper roll (add an inch to overlap for gluing).
Step 2: Draw and paint it according to your taste. Here I painted a floral pattern with some butterflies on those flowers. Add more details if you want. Leave it to dry.

Step 3: Cut some jute pieces as shown in the figure below. These will make the wings of butterflies. Sizes may vary with the size of the flowers and the paper roll.
I use 3D glitter to highlight details
Step 4: Take some white modelling clay to form the shape as shown in the picture below. I add some details with a blunt safety pin. This will serve as the body of butterflies.
Step 5: Gently fix the jute wings on the modelling clay base. Make sure wings are placed at the proper place. Let it dry. As it dries, the modelling clay will set, and the jute wings will fix into it.
Step 6: I added a few more butterflies into this picture. You may place them where you want to.
Step 7: Now its time to glue the outer surface of the paper roll. Let it dry for few seconds. This way the paper roll surface will absorb extra glue from it and the desired result will be better.
Step 8: Affix your painted cartridge paper gently on the roll. Be careful to press the paper thoroughly so that no bubbles are formed during pasting.
Step 9: Now since you have completed all the steps, let it dry before use.
Here's your decorated table pot ready. I use it as my pen-pencil-brush holder.

You can use it differently, or even create it differently (!) Please share with me how you use it.
