Diy Kraft Paper Basket

Hello Friends. I made a basket that you can easily make from kraft paper.

I folded the kraft paper for easy cutting. I cut it 5 cm wide. So I made long strips 5 cm wide.

I attached the ends of 3 paper strips. And I braided it like a hair braid.

Bend the paper strips in the same direction before knitting them. To make a long braid, you can apply glue to the ends of the paper strips and add new strips. You can knit long braids this way.

I'm going to make a small basket. You can make a braid of any length from a ribbon. Don't worry if the braid strip is small, you can always add new paper strips and weave, make a long braid strip without cutting it.

To make the basket, I start from the bottom first. I used an old flower pot as an example. I glued the braid strips in a round shape with glue.

I made a circle as wide as the bottom of the flower pot. Without cutting the paper strip, I started wrapping it around the flower pot. I applied glue in each row.

Do not apply the glue to the flower pot, apply it to the previous strip of paper. Thus, you can remove the flower pot from the basket whenever you want.

I cut 2 small pieces from the paper strip. I glued these strips to the last row of the basket before I made the last row of the basket. Then I did the last row of the basket.

Since I don't stick the flower pot to the basket, I can take it out whenever I want. If you want a long-lasting product, you can apply spray varnish all over the basket.

Kraft paper basket is ready. You can decorate your room and pots by making them in different sizes.

It looks like you twisted the strips before you started to braid - right?

Hi, lovely idea! I would seal the basket after being made with spray sealant and do the first layer light so that it doesn't degrade the paper. I would continue sealing until I felt the paper was safe from water as much as possible. Thank you for sharing your idea :)
