DIY Lavender Sleep Mask

In order to have a great day tomorrow, one thing is certain: I need to get restful sleep tonight! As a mom of two young kids, I don’t always get as much sleep as I’d like, but I do value my sleep and I take basic measures to ensure I get adequate rest at night. Today, I’ll be sharing the tutorial for making a DIY Lavender Sleep Mask. The scent of lavender is so calming, and this mask totally helps me relax at night. Here’s what you’ll need for this project:
fabric, about 1/4 yard
1 cup rice
1/2 cup dried lavender flowers
permanent fabric glue
pair of scissors
iron
Start by cutting a rectangle from the fabric that’s approximately 20″x4″ in size. Fold over about 1/4″ of the fabric on all sides and use the iron to make the edges smooth.
This is what the right side of the fabric should look like at this point. Notice the nice, crisp edges!
Now, it’s time to fold the fabric over. Let the glue dry fully. Now, we have a rectangular pouch, where three sides are sealed and one is open.
Fill with rice and use fabric glue on the final open edge to completely seal the pouch.
