DIY Mercury Bottles

Here's a quick and easy tutorial on how to paint some old bottles to look like mercury glass!
All you’ll need is:

Some old jars or bottles

Krylon Looking Glass Mirror Like Paint

Paper towels

A spray bottle full of half water half vinegar.
First of all, I would suggest taking this project outside as the paint could get a little fumy. And get some newspapers to set the bottles on so you don't ruin the surface you are working on.
Cover the bottle with a layer of the paint, try to make sure that the paint covers the bottle in an even coat.
Don’t wait for the paint to dry but go ahead and spray a fine mist of the vinegar and water mixture over the bottle, try to mist the water mixture on really lightly so it doesn't take off too much of the mirror paint. Wait a minute or two then gently dab the water off. If you want a different look you could rub the paint off in some places.
Tada! The great thing about these bottles is that they are really versatile, they can look great in any setting for any season! And they store well too!
Here's a picture of them in a Christmas display.
