I see olive trees everywhere, and they look so beautiful to me. But...they are crazy expencive. Soooo... I have decided to make one. 🙂 And guess what? It turned out really cute 🙂 Come and see what have I used for this really easy and affordable mini project.

Materials

Most of the stuff I already had in the house.. All that I needed to buy were the olive stems. So, here is what I used :

  1. Olive stems ( ordered from Amazon, came in a bunch of 3)
  2. Crafts wire
  3. A big flower pot ( or a basket )
  4. A thin branch ( I cut mine from my back yard )
  5. Scrap wood
  6. Dirt

I think I ' ve never done such a quick project. This was so easy, it was basicly done in half an hour. I cut a thin, and about 1 meter long branch from my yard. I wanted the tree to be that tall. Took my olive stems and wraped them around with the wire to attach them to the branch.

Then I took my pot ( basket ) and filled it with some scrap wood pieces and stuck my "tree" in between. I made sure that it was secure and it doesn't flip over.

So it was pretty much done. For the more realistic look, I filled the pot with dirt. You can also use rocks 🙂 I might still add them...

And that's all 🙂 The easiest project, but it made a huge impact in my dining room, where I inteted it to be.

You don' t always have to buy things, make them! It's fun 😊
