Make a candleholder in minutes using pine cones. This adorable candleholder will definitely add a cozy touch to your home.

This lovely candleholder takes about 5 minutes to make if you don’t count the paint drying time. Let me show you how to make one

Step 1 collecting pine cones

Free and readily available, natural elements are a must in my DIY decorations. Pine cones are sitting right in our yard, making excellent supplies for wreaths, candleholders, lanterns, and all decor objects.

I selected little ones, try to pick up the ones that are of similar size and shape

Step 2 painting the pine cones

I used white spray paint to color my pine cones and left them dry. It's best to do this on a sunny day outside so the pine cones can dry quickly.

Step 3 painting an old cd

I used a cd to be the base of my candleholder. I painted the cd with white spray and left it dry.

Step 4 attaching the pine cones onto the cd

Here is the fun part. I used fast adhesive with activator to stick the pine cones on the cd.

The candleholder is almost ready

Step 5 Lighting the candle

I placed a glass candleholder in my new pine cones wreath candleholder and lighted a tealight candle.

It is done, your beautiful and easy to do candle holder is ready to bring a forest ambiance into your living room.

Hi Selen, nice project thank you for sharing. I was wondering why you painted the iridescent side of the cd? I would think that the light from the candle would reflect off the cd and maybe create some nice reflections?

Wouldn't clear globes from ceiling fans work as candle holders? I have so many from so many homes due to moving around the country..Thrift stores always have them also, and garage sales on the cheap...

What is name of adhesive??? Sometimes hot glue comes off with heat. Put pinecones on door wreath, sun hits door & get quite hot sometimes, pinecones fall off! 😬 Need strong glue.

    Thank you

Hi thanks for the lovely comment. I use fast adhesive with activator for my crafts for a strong hold. But, hot glue would also work for this craft
