DIY Shabby Candle Covers

I hate looking at labels. I constantly find myself trying to find a way to get rid of the "brand" on things that sit in and around my home. Candles are not exception. Recently I made some shabby flowers....and with that in my mind...I took that same concept and made some covers for my candle jars. There are several steps to this project...so most of them are on my site, to cut down in the extreme amount here.
These covers are simple to do, and they can be as fluffy...or as simple as each individual desires.
By taking scraps of fabrics, ribbon...and of course my shabby flowers...anyone can make these...and cover those labels.
I started with a base of burlap. Make sure you trim it to at least the top of the jar...NO ONE needs their gorgeous cover catching fire. I then raveled the top of my burlap.
Continue adding as much or as little layers as you desire. I also continued by decreasing the length of each layer...and fraying them
Finish off with the ribbon of choice...and a shabby bow. These are so delicious to look at. So much better than a lable!
