I love the look of weathered grey/driftwood on wicker and have a few baskets like this in my home. I came across this old wicker tray with a great shape and thought it would be a fantastic candidate for a weathered grey paint makeover!

I used craft paint from Micheal's in two tones of grey and added white to the lighter one.

I added water to the dark grey to make a paint wash and worked it into the wicker.

I kept an example basket close by to see how my paint technique was coming along. After the dark grey was dry, I went over it with the light grey, water and white paint mixture.
