DIY Weekly Cork Board Organizer

I admit, I am not the most organized person. My style of organizing involves stacking papers in piles or throwing stray toys in bags. Yeah, not the best solution and I surely don't recommend this type of organizing. Unfortunately, this cork organizer won't help with my paper hoarding, but it will help me stay organized from week to week. With the start of a new school year fast approaching I needed a way to keep up with my kids schedule and this cork organizer is the perfect solution. Once they get their class schedules I'll update the board to keep track of each of their daily school activities. No one wants to be wearing a dress on gym days or brand new clothes on art days.
I started with an old cork board and fame (purchased from Goodwill and painted). I pulled off the cheap plastic frame from the cork then measured and cut the board to fit snug in the new wood frame.
After adding balsa wood and inexpensive metal label holders I had the perfect weekly organizer.
Let's just hope that this new wall organizer actually helps keep me somewhat organized :)
