This is such an easy project and you will have a trendy design piece at the end of it! This tutorial will show you how to make a wood bead strand for your decor.
You basically need to gather your materials. You need wood beads (20mm), jute twine and scissors.
Wrap the jute around your hands about 15 to 16 times. This is going to make the tassel section. Once wrapped, take the wrap from your hand and wrap another piece of jute twine around the top and knot it. That's the top of your tassel. Now just cut the loops from the bottom and you have a tassel. Now make another one for the other end and set aside.
Take your tassel and attach it to a long piece of jute (however long you want your bead garland). Run the jute string through each bead until you get to the length you want. I used 37 beads exactly. :) That made a pretty good sized strand. Knot the jute to keep your beads in place. Attach your second jute tassel.
All done! Now all you need to do is decorate with it. icon
My bead strand sits around our lamp currently but I've seen them set out on coffee tables, around candles, in trays and dishes. Wherever you need a little touch of texture.
