Cute farmhouse kitchen towels can add the perfect touch of farmhouse decor to your kitchen. But finding cute ones that don't break the bank can be a challenge.

What if you made your own, custom kitchen towels?

Well you easily can and here’s how:

First you'll need to find some cute kitchen towels. Wash and iron them. Don't skip this step! You need a nice flat surface so no wrinkles!!

I used a Chalk Couture Ink Mat (it's sticky!) underneath the kitchen towel. If you don't have one be sure to put a piece of cardboard or something down so the ink doesn't get on your table. Also a few weights in the corners of your towel would be really helpful to keep it in place.

Then pick out your transfer and place it just where you want it. These transfers all came from this Farmhouse Transfer pack. Cut each image and place it where you want it!

Using Couture Ink (the Ink is permanent, the chalk is not). I applied it to the towel with a small squeegee. I chose to use the Black Ink to keep these pretty neutral. But there are a ton of fun colors!

Once the ink is applied and smoothed out, peel back your transfer. This is the most fun part - the moment of reveal!

Once the ink is dry, you'll set it (making it permanent) by placing a piece of parchment paper over the design, and ironing it for 4 minutes.

So simple and fun to make plus they look super cute!

Yes, I went a little crazy with the farm animals, but I just love the look and endless variations you can make. For more details on this project click the blog link below or subscribe and never miss a project!
