You can make something beautiful. If you pick the right thing, you can totally make art that will be beautiful. I tried these DIY Watercolor Paintings and they were so easy and I love the end result!
The first thing I did was tape off the edges of my little canvasses. I used plain old scotch tape, which allowed a little bit of the water paint to seep through and gave the edges a blurred effect. You could also use painters tape for crisper edges to your project.
The next step is easy! Think. Think about what you want to present on your canvas. I wanted to do a representation of the seasons, so I thought about what colors would correspond to which season.
Next, paint! Watercolors are very forgiving. Dip your brush in some water and then in the paint and go at it. My only caution would be not to add *too* much water. You can always go back and add a little more if needed. I painted, then waited for everything to dry, then went back and decided if I wanted more color or not. I think I added more color to almost all of them.
Allow your little masterpieces to dry and then hang them and enjoy! Be sure to click over to the blog post for full instructions!
