I started out by making just one lantern, but it was so quick and easy and looked so good, that I whipped up a couple more in minutes. Now as a grouping they are just perfect. Lighting the tea lights adds a wonderful atmosphere to our living room at night. Beach lanterns, you gotta love them.

I made similar items for Christmas gifts but used watered down Mod Podge to seal the sand with the shells so they don't spill out. I used the battery powered LED tea lights in them.
