Easy Embossing Soda Can Labels

I happen to love the look of embossed metal, especially with letters, and I actually have a nice embossing set not, but I made these before I had the set, and I wouldn't hesitate to make these for other applications in the future. These labels are made with a soda can and I was able to make them pretty darn fast!
Soda Can DIY metal embossed labels
I mounted mine on wood with hot glue, but basically, I used:
- Soda can
- Scissors
- Sharpie marker
- ball point pen
- black stamping ink
- wooden cooking plank
I CAREFULLY cut the soda can. Wrote a word backwards with a Sharpie marker, and then traced the letter with a ball point pen.
Flipped it over and dabbed with the black stamping ink.
I also sawed down the wood plank to make small wood pieces, drilled a hole, and stained.
I trimmed the soda can metal down, and hot glued to the wood piece. Done.

I'm sure there are a lot of variations to making this work and what to use if for, like scrapbooking, gift tags, storage labels, etc... but it was easy and fun, for sure!
