i love making handmade gifts for people and my specialty is working with resin so I did a bit of research of what unique silicon moulds are available to use for resin and I came around a incense holder mould so I want to show you how I used it. You can buy my incense holders in my Etsy store and choose any two colours you want to personalise it https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SophsResinGifts?ref=profile_header&page=1

Before

I brought this mould from Amazon. It was an affordable price and a really good buy as there’s 3 different incense holder designs to choose from.

I firstly got my resin out. I get mine from Amazon. I use many different brands and so far I’ve had no problem with any of them.

I mixed 40ml of resin and hardener. The resin I use is a 1:1 ratio so I mixed 20ml of each. I mixed the resin and hardener slowly to avoid creating bubbles.

To colour my resin I decided i was gonna use a red micra powder and a bit of gold leaf as I thought these would look really nice together.

I split the resin mixture into two parts and added the micra powder and gold leaf. I use silicon cupcake cases to mix my resin in as resin doesn’t stick to silicon making cupcake cases ideal.

If you have any bubbles after mixing the resin use a heat gun to gently pop them.

Lastly, I poured the two colours at each side of the incense stick holder mould and filled the mould to the top.

I then let the resin cure for 24 hours till it was solid.

After

I tuck the resin out it’s mould and this is what I was left with. Really pleased with this mould. It’s from Amazon and really worth a couple of dollars. I will be making these if anyone wants to order one from my Etsy store. I make alot of different resin gifts so please take a look.
