I've been a bit obsessed with yarn lately and have so many yarn projects in the works. These pom pom mushrooms are a product of yarn scraps and a love for whimsical home décor. I made these little mushrooms and have them hanging around my house and they are just a fun and colorful way to decorate for spring and summer.

Start with a pom pom and equal length pieces of yarn (for the mushroom stem).

Fold the stem yarn in half and tie a piece of yarn towards the top. You want to make sure you leave a little bit of room at the top.

Spread out the yarn on the top of them stem and tie to the mushroom cap.

You can use a hot glue gun or craft glue and add mini pom poms to the mushrooms.

Aren't these so cute? I love how cheerful these little mushroom are... but I do keep humming the Smurf's song in my head...

la la la la la la la - anyone else know what I'm talking about? It's one of those songs that easily gets stuck in your head!

These mushrooms are cute as home décor, but would also make a great baby mobile or turned into a garland. They could be a craft for a party and also great decorations for a woodland party.

They also make great gift toppers!

What do you guys think? Do you love them as much as I do?
