Easy
I've used old cupboard doors for many things in the past. I particularly like them as a canvas because they are already framed! But this project was so easy and cheap, it's now one of my favs!
Before
I bought some old cupboard doors from the ReStore for $1 each.
And a bag of used handles for $5. Then I sanded the doors down with my palm sander to bare wood. Next, I took my Unicorn SPiT and just let my imagination go!
Before polyurethane.
Then I added a few coats of poly for durability. And last but not least, drilled new holes for the handles ( one on each side of the door). And....
Voila! A serving tray!
I used traditional wood stain and all the coloured stain is Unicorn SPiT! I have a few more in the works using Sharpie and SPiT, so stay tuned! And check out my page at www.facebook.com/Monafurniture.

Love the colours you chose. So pretty and what a great idea to give new life to discarded cabinet doors.
