Ever Try Weaving Duct Tape?

I have! It's a sticky situation, but one that worked beautifully. Duct tape on leather furniture does hold but usually is not very attractive. I worked, and, wove, and stuck, and re-stuck to make this project attractive.
Although it looked daunting to complete it only took about 15 minutes to finish weaving enough to cover the stool.
Painted with chalky type paint and my stool is ready for the craft room.
It was duct tape that covered the gash in the top of this stool with the price of $2 from a local thrift shop.
Weaving in and out, sticking and resticking.
Just need to trim the edge.
Painted and ready to use.
My woven duct tape stool with dipped legs.

A couple of years ago my husband duck taped a chair and it turned out really cute. It was decorated with cherries

You didn’t happen to make a video of doing this did you? I think I know what you mean but I also know I’d drive myself crazy trying to do it and still having my tape stick in every possible way but the correct way. Usually that means I have to see what I’m missing.

    • I didn't make a video. We're traveling in our RV right now, but when we return I'll make a video showing the duct tape weaving. It's sticky business. ;) By the way, I ended up donating the stool to a local thrift store, but I can recreate the weaving part.
