When I was thinking of what to submit for the FABRIC challenge, I really wanted to do something to organize my kitchen workstation that would also coordinate with the rag valance that I made before Christmas.
...and what better way to organize than to create a "place for everything; and everything in its place"?
this is how I put it all together.
Gathered all the materials that I felt I would need. Fabric, clean/empty tin cans, tacky glue, hot glue.
Starting with the tuna cans, I measured and cut a strip of fabric, and carefully glued it to the can. I decided to leave the edge of the can exposed, just because I liked the way it looked, and coordinated with my stainless steel appliances.
Using the same process, I covered all of the cans. This step goes fairly quick, but I was careful not to apply TOO much glue (that would seep thru the fabric).

When all the cans (and I ended up using two cardboard tubes not originally pictured, and a cardboard tray, ) were covered, I created a grouping that worked for me. As you can see I staggered the tuna cans upward. I really liked the way that looked.

Using hot glue, I attached the fabric covered cans/tubes/tray together.

and then went "at it" and filled them with all the stuff that was laying around. And there you have it.

I hope you like it, I really enjoyed putting it together and VERY happy with the mess that it cleared up at my kitchen workstation.
