Have you been crushing on the painted tile floors that are making their away the internet? Yeah I had been crushing hard on some gorgeous black and white tile and then I discovered Cutting Edge Stencils and that I could DIY my way to a gorgeous tile artwork!
To keep this project super simple I used an existing piece of artwork that I didn't really like anymore so I didn't have to build out the frame. To build out a frame though it is also really easy to do I just was thrilled I had the right size/frame style combo for a quick fun project!
The great thing about this project is its very forgiving it. If you completely mess up just repaint your base color and start again. Also the touch ups is really easy if you don't have the cleanest lines from the stencil (which was my case but it was completely because I was using less then stellar tools in particular my brush I used to put on the stencil design)
How fun would it be to take this project and use the smallest tile, stencil four of them and then cut out some grout lines with a circular saw? That is my next project! So tell me have you been crushing on these "farmhouse" tiles? Have you used stencils before? Its been a game changer for me and my home decor projects!
