Faux Chicken Wire Frame

Love the look of a farmhouse chicken wire frame to display your mementos? Me too. For this project I used a thrifted frame and some craft wire to create my own. For just a few dollars I have a pretty farmhouse frame to display messages and photos.

This old frame was just waiting for a makeover. I also used a roll of faux craft chicken wire. I found this on deep clearance after the holiday season and it was perfect for this project.

I used a soft gray chalk paint on the wood frame.

Then I cut the faux chicken wire and stapled it in strips to the back of the frame. I pulled it taut before stapling so it could easily hold my items.

I use small clothespins to to attach fun notes for the season. This frame is also great for holding photos, cards and reminders too!

Faux chicken wire can be found at most craft or floral stores and you can make this frame with any old or thrifted frame you have at home.

This faux chicken wire would be ideal across the back of an old window (without the glass) as well! It's easier to work with and less of a chance of hurting your fingers when assemblings this project.

Where did you get the paper from and how did you get it to look like that?
