We all have them, a collection of magazines both old and new sitting under the bed, collecting dust. Many "I'll use these for inspo" laters and all the sudden the stacks have multiplied and the oldest magazine is over a decade.

Sound familiar? Dreams of reading them in spare time, cuddled under a blanket on a cozy chair with tea in hand. But realistically these will just be tossed later.

So here is your inspo to rummage through those stacks, pick your favorite 10 editions and then get your DIY on to create a faux leather magazine rack! Put it next to your cozy chair (or toilet) and finally get to reading those sacred pages.

Here's what you'll need:

·1 piece of 8 foot comboard

·saw

·wood glue

·1/2" wood dowel

·1/4 yard faux leather material

·1" screws

·screwdriver or drill

·fabric glue or sewing machine

First, cut your comboard into the following lengths:

-4 pieces measuring 14 inches

-4 pieces measuring 8 inches

-2 pieces of wood dowel measuring 15 inches

Take 1-8" wood piece and 1-14" wood piece. Create and 'L' shape form with the wood pieces and screw into place.

Then, take another 14" wood piece and screw it into the opposite side of the 8" wood piece.

Complete this part of the frame by adding another 8" wood piece to the bottom. You should have a rectangle measuring 14"x8".

Repeat these steps a second time to create a second rectangular frame that measures the same (14"x8").

At both corners on the top of both frames, use a 1/2" drill and drill 1/4" deep. You should have four 1/4" deep holes. These are for the dowels which will connect the frames.

Take the faux leather fabric and measure out a piece 13"x26". Mark it with chalk and cut the fabric with as straight a line as possible.

Place 2 wood dowels into the 1/4" holes of one rectangular frame. Secure the wood dowels into the 1/4" holes with wood glue. Set aside while the glue dries according to the directions on the bottle.

While the dowels secure in the glue, time to create the faux leather rack. Lay the fabric face down on a flat surface with the end measuring 13" on the top side. Fold over 1.5" on the end that measures 13". Pin in place and sew the fabric to create a pocket for the wood dowel.

No sewing machine? Use fabric glue instead of thread to secure the fabric fold. Place a thin line of glue on the top of the inside of the fabric. Fold the fabric over 1.5" and press. Place a heavy book over the fold until the glue dries.

After the dowels are dried, slip the dowels through the pockets of the faux leather cover. Then glue the other side of the dowels into the holes of the second frame.

Once the glue is all dried, put your magazines in your rack next to your favorite chair, grab a cup of tea and enjoy your moment!
