Faux Succulent Terrarium
I wouldn't say that I have a black thumb, but I've killed every single succulent that I've ever brought home. No matter what, I just can't keep them alive.
Luckily, faux plants get better and better. Fake succulents are among the more realistic ones, so even better.
Using fake succulents, I made some faux terrariums that will look great no matter how much I neglect them!
I picked up some jars with lids from my thrift store. Look for jars that have wider necks.
I did end up using a jar with a narrow neck and it was a pain and involved a makeshift funnel...
Place your fake plants in the jar. I was able to find some in small pots and that look like they're in dirt. Go for a variety to types and shapes for interest.
You can hot glue them in place if you want. It made the process a bit easier.
Add rocks after the plants are in.
I made a funnel from a piece of paper for the narrow neck jar. It really helped to get the rocks in first. For this jar, I added the plants after the rocks.
You could also add other elements, like rocks, small toys of even something like pinecones. I added faux moss to my small jar.
This was one of the easiest crafts I've ever done, only taking a few minutes to complete.
But I love how they turned out. The perfect touch for spring.
