This easy tutorial makes a plain hand towel a little bit more personal or decorative. I made these for my grandson so he has his own little towel when brushing his teeth. More of these planned for Fall and Christmas!

I started with two plain white hand towels. I selected some flannel fabric. I only purchased 1/4 yard at Walmart. They had great selections

Measure the cam of your hand towel. This is the banded or gathered/textured strip on your towel. Add 2 inches to the long measurement and one inch to the short measurement.

Start with the long sides. Fold over each end 1/4 inch. Press the folds. Pin into place on the cam/towel. On the short ends, fold over each end 1/2 inch and then again. Pin into place wrapping around the edge of your towel. Stitch all sides with your sewing machine or you can hand stitch.

I also made some flannel garland. You can see these instructions on the blog post.

Here is the final product.

It is all ready for my Friday night guest!
