I am so blessed to see in a found piece of wood a treasure . I was at my brother in laws cabinet shop I looks in a wood bin ,holding scrap wood I saw a chunk of wood .I ask if I could have it. Bruce said yes. A month later I showed him what I did with the chunk of wood he got a kick out of it
Just one side of the wood
another side of the wood. I added the round drift wood piece you see on the left I used E600 clear glue for this project.
I think this will show you the drift wood piece better. I got drift wood from the Oregon coast. Wood chunk from Salem Oregon and Rocks from Apple Valley California, to do this project. I think that is funny.
Ok the 2 state project is done.
Just some other free wood project I was lucky enough to see and keep. when my grandson was 4 , I showed him the duck head piece of wood, after I found it ,it just was the wood shape you see with holes in it. I cleaned it up and painted it and added the eyes Brandon looked at my hands over and over ,he said Grandma you have magic in your hands. I loved that. The wood in the middle just has a great pattern in it. The piece on the right had that hole in it. So I saw and owl eye I am carving it into an owl .We will see if that works or I end up in the ER with a nasty cut. Well keep your eyes open.
