I found this adorable little cow picture at my favorite store or the Dollar Tree but she needed something so I looked around my house and took some things I had and jazzed her up.
I started off by taking three pallet pieces that I had in my wood pile and gluing them together with Gorilla Glue. I typically take them and clamp them together and put something heavy on them so it sticks. I recommend leaving the wood together for at least 24 hours so they bond together properly. After the glue dries I took a light palm sander and sanded all the burrs off of it and made it nice and smooth.
And then took some of my trustee Grey Minwax wood stain and lightly brush it on. After it dried I did do a light sanding to get a worn look and dry brushed a tiny bit of white over the top of it just for extra color and depth.
After the stain and paint and glue has all dried I attached the cow using wood glue and then had a few of these small pink dried flowers that I purchased from Publix a while ago and stuck them in the top and the project was finished! I love the way she came out and she will go in my kitchen to live happily ever after :) please check me out on Facebook for more DIYs ideas at Stars furniture & gifts! Thanks! Beth
