    How did you go from bud to full flower, add more spiral cut filters or layers of scrunched whole filters?

    I don't see how you got the rose to be 2 toned. Do you alternate the merlot & tea filters? It looks like the petals were painted with the merlot.

      Sandy, the rose pictured was dyed with Merlot wine. I used a marker with a brush tip in a deep burgundy shade to color the edges of the "petals". Hope this helps!
